The UN Convention against Corruption and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development 2004 includes whistleblowers protection “Whistleblower protection frameworks, compendium of best practices and guiding principles for legislation”.

It is essential that anyone connected with New Myanmar Foundation who suspects or knows that wrongdoing has taken place, is taking place, or is likely to take place reports their concerns. The Whistleblowing Policy provides protection for the person reporting (where they have reasonable grounds for concern) from dismissal, penalization, victimization, or any other detrimental treatment by New Myanmar Foundation as a result of their reporting.
