Digital Security Training

Equipping individuals with critical digital skills to protect their privacy, communication, and online freedom.

Overview

The Digital Security Training program provides critical cyber safety and privacy skills to Myanmar citizens navigating an increasingly restrictive and monitored digital landscape. Delivered through a hybrid model—offering secure online classes for people inside Myanmar and in-person, onsite workshops for the displaced community in Mae Sot—this program equips individuals, activists, and local organizations with the essential tools to protect their digital identities. As digital threats grow, our training ensures that vulnerable populations can communicate safely, access information freely, and safeguard their sensitive data.

Impact

Over 500 individuals and grassroots organizers have completed the digital security training across our online and onsite cohorts. Graduates report significantly higher confidence in navigating the internet safely and protecting their private communications from surveillance. By securing the digital presence of the Myanmar community both cross-border and internally, the program has become a vital lifeline for preserving free expression, safe organizing, and personal privacy in high-risk environments.
