Basic Healthcare Program
Delivering essential healthcare services to underserved populations.
Overview
The Basic Healthcare Program addresses the urgent medical needs of Myanmar migrants and displaced communities who lack access to Thailand’s formal healthcare system. Many migrants cannot afford medical treatment or are unaware of available services. Our program bridges this gap by providing basic medical care, health education, and referrals to medical facilities.
Activities
- Basic medical consultations and first aid treatment
- Distribution of essential medicines and medical supplies
- Health awareness workshops (hygiene, disease prevention, maternal health)
- Mobile health clinics in remote communities
- Referral networks to hospitals and specialist care
- Maternal and child health support
- COVID-19 and infectious disease prevention education
Impact
Over 1,000 community members have received healthcare services through our program. We have conducted dozens of health education workshops, significantly improving health literacy and preventive care practices. Our referral network has helped critical cases access timely specialist treatment.
