Safeguarding is the responsibility that the New Myanmar Foundation must ensure our representatives and activities promote the welfare of people (especially children, vulnerable adults, and risk beneficiaries) in the communities where we work and do not expose them to the risk of harm including sexual exploitation and abuse. Safeguarding measures seek to prevent situations where individuals can use their power position to abuse or exploit another person.

New Myanmar Foundation upholds safeguarding principles. While we continue to develop our own policies and procedures, we follow this policy document to ensure that our work is in line with best practices.
