- Without any contact with the resistance forces, the junta military launched a deadly airstrike on a village named Kyauk Ni Maw located in Ramree Island, Rakhine State at 13:00 PM on the 8th of January 2025. Over 41 innocent civilians were killed and another 50 were injured and more than 500 households were burned down due to this brutal attack. This act of violence by the military regime, which caused a high casualty of innocent civilians and heavy losses of civilians’ properties, has been strongly condemned. This vicious attack illustrates the military junta’s blatant disregard of the international human rights law.
- Since the military took over the power in 2021, the junta military has been perpetrating more and more airstrikes targeting the non-military targets like civilians. These violent attacks are the most serious and inhumane human rights violations leading to a mass civilian casualty. The bombing attack on Kyauk Ni Maw village is yet another example of the junta’s extreme tactic of long-standing inhumane violation, intimidation and displacement of civilians in Rakhine State.
- We call for the international governments and communities to impose immediate and comprehensive sanctions against all entities involved in the sale of oil and jet fuel to the military regime. These sanctions should target companies and individuals who continue to provide the military with the resources needed for carrying out its brutal operations.
- Humanitarian assistance for the survivors during the aerial bombing attack is urgently needed. As the attack caused a complete devastation such as a mass casualty of people, and a massive destruction of houses and livelihood, international communities are called on to provide urgent assistance and protection for the survivors of the Kyauk Ni Maw incident.
- The New Myanmar Foundation has been monitoring and documenting these human rights violations, and putting efforts in seeking justice for victims of serious human rights violations and holding perpetrators accountable in the transitional period of the country.
ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်၊ ရမ်းဗြဲကျွန်း၊ ကျောက်နီမော်ကျေးရွာသို့ စစ်ကောင်စီ၏ လေကြောင်းမှ ဗုံးကြဲတိုက်ခိုက်မှုအတွင်း ပြည်သူ (၄၀) ကျော် သေဆုံးခဲ့သည့် ဖြစ်ရပ်အပေါ်သဘောထားထုတ်ပြန်ခြင်း
၁။ ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ်၊ ဇန်နဝါရီလ (၈) ရက်နေ့ မွန်းလွဲပိုင်း၁နာရီအချိန်ခန့်တွင် အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်ကောင်စီက ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်၊ ရမ်းဗြဲကျွန်း၊ ကျောက်နီမော်ကျေးရွာသို့ တိုက်ပွဲဖြစ်ပွားခြင်းမရှိဘဲ လေကြောင်းဖြင့် တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ရာ အပြစ်မဲ့ပြည်သူ ၄၁ ဦးသေဆုံး၍ ၅၀ ကျော်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ပြီး အိမ်ခြေ (၅၀၀) ကျော်ခန့် မီးလောင်ပျက်ဆီး ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့သည်။ ထိုအကြမ်းဖက်လုပ်ရပ်ကြောင့် အပြစ်မဲ့ပြည်သူများ အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခြင်း နှင့် ပျက်စီးဆုံးရှုံးမှုများ အတွက် ပြင်းပြင်းထန်ထန်ရှုတ်ချပါသည်။ ယင်းသို့ တိုက်ခိုက်မှုများသည် နိုင်ငံတကာ လူသားချင်းစာနာ ထောက်ထားမှုဆိုင်ရာဥပဒေကို ပြောင်ပြောင်တင်းတင်း လျစ်လျူရှုကြောင်း ပြသနေပါသည်။
၂။ အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်တပ်သည် အာဏာသိမ်းပြီးသည့်အချိန်မှစ၍ အရပ်သားပြည်သူများအပေါ်ပစ်မှတ်ထားကာ လေကြောင်းဖြင့်တိုက်ခိုက်မှုများ ပိုမိုလုပ်ဆောင်လာသည်ကိုတွေ့ရပြီး ၎င်းလုပ်ရပ်သည် လူ့အခွင့်အရေး ချိုးဖောက်မှုများထဲတွင် အပြင်းထန်ဆုံးနှင့် လူမဆန်ဆုံးလုပ်ရပ်များဖြစ်ပြီး ပြည်သူများ အစုလိုက်အပြုံလိုက် သေကြေပျက်စီးနေရပါသည်။ ကျောက်နီမော်အား လေကြောင်းမှ တိုက်ခိုက်မှုသည် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်တွင် အရပ် သားများအား ကာလကြာရှည်စွာ အကြမ်းဖက်ခြင်း၊ ခြိမ်းခြောက်ခံရခြင်း နှင့် အိုးအိမ်စွန့်ခွာထွက်ပြေး နေကြရသည့် မြန်မာစစ်တပ်၏ ရက်စက်ကြမ်းကြုတ်သော နည်းဗျူဟာ၏ နောက်ထပ်ဥပမာတစ်ခု ဖြစ်သည်။
၃။ အကြမ်းဖက်စစ်တပ်ကို ရေနံနှင့်လောင်စာဆီရောင်းချမှုတွင် ပါဝင်ပတ်သက်နေသည့်အဖွဲ့အစည်းအားလုံးကို ယခုချက်ချင်း ကျယ်ကျယ်ပြန့်ပြန့် အရေးယူမှုများပြုလုပ်ရန် တောင်းဆိုပါသည်။ အဆိုပါဒဏ်ခတ် ပိတ်ဆို့မှု များသည် ရက်စက်ကြမ်းကြုတ်သော စစ်ဆင်ရေးများဆောင်ရွက်ရန် လိုအပ်သည့် အရင်းအမြစ်များကို စစ်တပ် အားဆက်လက်ထောက်ပံ့ပေးနေသော ကုမ္ပဏီများ၊ လူပုဂ္ဂိုလ်များကို ပစ်မှတ်ထားသင့်ပါသည်။
၄။ လေကြောင်းတိုက်ခိုက်ခံရမှုအတွင်း အသက်ရှင်ကျန်ရစ်သူများအတွက် လူသားချင်းစာနာမှု အကူအညီများ အရေးပေါ် လိုအပ်လျက်ရှိပါသည်။ အိုးအိမ်များပျက်စီးကာ၊စား ဝတ်နေရေးပြိုကွဲကာ မိသားစုများ သေကြေ ပျက်စီးမှုများနှင့် ရင်ဆိုင်နေရသည့်အတွက် နိုင်ငံတကာအဖွဲ့အစည်းများအနေဖြင့် ကျောက်နီမော်ဖြစ်စဉ်တွင် အသက်ရှင်ကျန်ရစ်သူများအား အရေးပေါ်အကူအညီ နှင့် အကာအကွယ်ပေးရန် နိုင်ငံတကာအသိုင်းအဝိုင်းကို တောင်းဆိုလိုပါသည်။
၅။ New Myanmar Foundation အနေဖြင့် ယခုကဲ့သို့ စစ်တပ်မှ အပြစ်မဲ့ပြည်သူများအပေါ် ကျူးလွန်နေသော လူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်မှုဖြစ်စဉ်များအား စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ်စောင့်ကြည့်ကာ မှတ်တမ်းတင်ထုတ်ပြန်လျက်ရှိပြီး နောင်တစ်ချိန် ပြည်သူများအတွက် တရားမျှတမှုပြန်လည်ရရှိရေးတွင် ပြန်လည်အထောက်အကူပြုနိုင်ရေးကို ကြိုးစား၍ ဆောင်ရွက်သွားပါမည်။
