Human Rights Program
Documenting violations, advocating for justice, and promoting human rights awareness.
Overview
The Human Rights Program is a cornerstone of Blossom Future’s advocacy work. We systematically document human rights violations affecting Myanmar communities, advocate for accountability and justice, and educate communities about their fundamental rights. Our work contributes to national and international efforts to protect the rights of Myanmar citizens and migrants.
Activities
- Documentation of human rights violations and abuses
- Preparation of reports for national and international bodies
- Human rights education and awareness campaigns
- Community-based monitoring and reporting networks
- Advocacy with government authorities and international organizations
- Legal support for victims of human rights violations
- Collaboration with human rights networks and coalitions
- Training human rights defenders and community monitors
Impact
Our documentation efforts have contributed to multiple reports submitted to international human rights bodies. We have trained over 1,000 community monitors who serve as the eyes and ears of human rights protection in their communities. Our advocacy work has helped raise awareness about the situation in Myanmar at regional and international levels.
