On December 10, 2024, the New Myanmar Foundation, which actively conducts humanitarian along the Thai-Myanmar Border Area and human rights protection work in Myanmar, organized the 76th International Human Rights Day event in collaboration with The Space Organization and other partner organizations at the Thailand-Myanmar border.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Dr. San Aung, the Executive Director of the New Myanmar Foundation. Keynote speeches were delivered by Dr. Cythia Mg, the head of Mae To Clinic, U Aung Myo Min, Minister for Human Rights of the National Unity Government, U Thein U, Minister of Justice, Daw Naw Su San Na Hla Hla Soe, Minister for Youth, Women and Children Affairs, Mr. Matthew Smith, CEO of Fortify Rights, Mr. Banu Altunbas, Executive Director of the Mukwegee Foundation, Ms. Mary Aileen Diez Bacalso, Executive Director of Forum Asia, Mr. Ichel Supriadi, General Secretary of the Asia Democracy Network, and Mr. Hafsa Tameesuddin, Co-Secretary General of APRRN, all of whom paid tribute and delivered messages via video. Additionally, Dr. Daw Khin Soe Soe Kyi of CRPH and P’doh Eh Htoo from the Karen National Union also participated in the event, delivering live speeches to honor and commemorate the day.
Following the speeches, various organizations involved in human rights work shared their efforts and initiatives, while tribute messages were delivered to honor those fighting for human rights. Furthermore, individuals who had personally experienced human rights violations shared their stories, and a documentary film titled “War Crime” was shown, focusing on the brutal killings in Naungpinthar Village by the military junta.
The New Myanmar Foundation also hosted a panel discussion on human rights during the event, with participation from U Aung Myo Kyaw of AAPP, Ma Zuu Zuu May, Daw Thinzar Mya, Naw Htoo Htoo, and Ko Zwe, who led the conversation.
Throughout the event, the Thaung Yin Thu Khu Ma group performed songs that motivated and uplifted the attendees. The Space Organization also contributed by hosting a “Speak Up” session for victims of human rights violations.
The 76th International Human Rights Day, organized by the New Myanmar Foundation, brought together partner organizations and observers who discussed the ongoing human rights violations in Myanmar, the suffering of the people, and the necessary actions to address these issues in the future. Based on the discussions, a statement on human rights was issued on December 10.

ယင်းအခမ်းအနားတွင် နယူးမြန်မာဖောင်ဒေးရှင်း၏ Executive Director ဒေါက်တာစန်းအောင် မှ ကြိုဆိုနှုတ်ခွန်းဆက် အမှာစကား ပြောကြားခဲ့ပြီး မယ်တော်ဆေးခန်း၏ အကြီးအကဲဆရာမကြီး ဒေါက်တာစင်သီယာမောင်၊ အမျိုးသားညီညွှတ် ရေးအစိုးရအဖွဲ့၏ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးဆိုင်ရာဝန်ကြီး ဦးအောင်မျိုးမင်း၊ တရားရေးရာ၀န်ကြီး ဦးသိန်းဦး၊ အမျိုးသမီးနှင့် ကလေး သူငယ်ရေးရာ၀န်ကြီး ဒေါ်နော်ဆူစန်နာလှလှစိုး၊ Fortify Rights မှ စီအီးအို မစ္စတာ မက်သယူးစမစ်၊ မာ၀ီးကီးဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းမှ Executive Director မစ္စစ် ဘနူးအယ်လ်တန်ဗက်စ်၊ Forum Asia မှ Executive Director မေရီအိုင်လင်းဒီးယက်စ် ဘယ်ကာ ဆို၊ Aisa Democracy Network မှ အထွေထွေအတွင်းရေးမှူး အီချယ်ဆူပရီယာဒီ၊ APRRN မှ တွဲဖက်အတွင်းရေးမှူး ဟက်ဖ်ဆာတမီးလ်ဆူဒင်တို့မှ ဗီဒီယိုမက်ဆေ့ချ်ဖြင့် ၇၆ ကြိမ်မြောက် လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနေ့အထိမ်းအမှတ် ဂုဏ်ပြုအမှာစကား ပြောကြားခဲ့ကြကာ CRPH မှ ဒေါက်တာဒေါ်ခင်စိုးစိုးကြည်၊ Karen National Union မှ ဖဒိုအယ်ထူး တို့မှလည်း လူကိုယ်တိုင် တက်ရောက်ချီးမြှင့် ဂုဏ်ပြုအမှာစကား ပြောကြားခဲ့ကြပါသည်။ ထို့နောက် လူ့အခွင့်အရေးအတွက် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက် နေကြသော အဖွဲ့အစည်းအသီးသီးမှ မိမိတို့၏ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးဆောင်ရွက်မှုလုပ်ငန်းစဥ်များအား ရှင်းလင်းပြောကြားခြင်း၊ ဂုဏ်ပြုအမှာစကားများ ပြောကြားခြင်းတို့အား ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
ထို့အပြင် ကိုယ်တိုင်ကိုယ်ကျ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်ခံစားခဲ့ရသူများမှလည်း ရင်တွင်းစကားသံများကို အသီးသီး ဖွင့်ဟပြောကြားခံကြကာ အခွင့်အရေးနှင့်သက်ဆိုင်သည့် “War Crime” အမည်ရှိ စစ်ကောင်စီ၏ ညောင်ပင်သာရွာ လူသတ်မှုအကြောင်း ရိုက်ကူးထားသည့် မှတ်တမ်းရုပ်ရှင်ကို ပြသခဲ့ပါသည်။
နယူးမြန်မာဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းမှ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနေ့ စကားဝိုင်းအစီစဉ်တရပ်ကို ယင်းအခမ်းအနားတွင် ထည့်သွင်းလုပ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ ပြီး နိုင်ငံရေးအကျဉ်းသားများကူညီစောင့်ရှောက်ရေးအသင်းမှ ဦးအောင်မျိုးကျော် ၊ မဇူးဇူးမေ ၊ ဒေါ်သဉ္ဇာမြ ၊ နော်ထူးထူး နှင့် ကိုဇွဲတို့မှ ဦးဆောင်ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြသည်။
အခမ်းအနားတလျှောက်တွင် သောင်ရင်းသုခုမ အဖွဲ့မှ တက်ရောက်သူများကို စိတ်ခွန်အားဖြစ်စေသည့် တေးသီချင်းများဖြင့် ပါဝင်ဖြေဖျော်ပေးခဲ့သည်။ The Space Organization မှလည်း ယခုပွဲအား ပါ၀င်အားဖြည့်ပေးခဲ့ပြီး လူ့အခွင့်အရေး ချိုးဖောက်ခံခဲ့ရသူများအတွက် “ပြောပါ” Session ကို ထည့်သွင်းဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
၇၆ ကြိမ်မြောက်အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနေ့တွင် နယူးမြန်မာဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းမှ ဦးစီး၍ တက်ရောက်လာသည့် မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းများ ၊ လေ့လာစောင့်ကြည့်သူများက မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်းလူ့အခွင့်အရေးချိုးဖောက်မှုများ၊ ပြည်သူများ၏ နစ်နာဆုံးရှုံးမှုများ နှင့် အနာဂတ်တွင် ပြင်ဆင်လုပ်ဆောင်သင့်သည့်ကိစ္စများစသည့် အကြောင်းအရာများဖြင့် အဖွဲ့လိုက် စုပေါင်းဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပြီးနောက်တွင် ယင်းဆွေးနွေးချက်များကို အခြေခံ၍ ဒီဇင်ဘာလ ၁၀ ရက်နေ့ နေ့စွဲဖြင့် လူ့အခွင့်အရေး နှင့် ပတ်သတ်သည့် ကြေညာချက်တစောင်ကိုလည်း ထုတ်ပြန်ကြေညာခဲ့ပါသည်။
