Esteemed People of Myanmar,

First and foremost, we would like to extend our warm greetings and wishes for your good health and happiness. On this auspicious day, as we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new year, we are honored to have the opportunity to address you.

Since the military seized power in 1962, the people of Myanmar have endured lives of oppression, losing both human rights and ethnic rights. Following the coup in 2021, and throughout 2022 and 2023, the people were subjected to brutal oppression and massacres, leaving them hopeless and trapped in darkness. Nevertheless, they continued their unwavering efforts, engaging in both armed and peaceful resistance across Myanmar. In particular, since October 27, 2023, revolutionary movements led by three ethnic alliances have marked a significant turning point in Myanmar’s history of resistance. Throughout 2024, revolutionary forces achieved continuous successes, liberating town after town. As of now, democratic and ethnic forces have gained control over vast regions of Myanmar. The fall of the military dictatorship and its complete eradication is now within reach.

Meanwhile, in Syria, the dictator Assad could not withstand the united offensive of opposition forces and fled to Russia in early December. This example demonstrates that even with the support of powerful countries like Iran, Russia, and China, dictatorships inevitably fall when global circumstances shift and opportunities arise. For nearly 20 years, Assad’s regime was backed militarily and diplomatically, with vetoes shielding it at the UN Security Council. Yet, when the tides turn, even the strongest authoritarian regimes collapse.

On this New Year’s occasion, we firmly believe that the people of Myanmar can also shape their own destiny. With collective strength, the military dictatorship can be swiftly removed, paving the way to establish a Federal Democratic Union. We humbly urge everyone to persist with unyielding determination until victory is achieved.

Additionally, we pay tribute to all those, past and present, who have participated in the struggles for democracy, ethnic equality, and self-determination, as well as to those who have sacrificed their lives, blood, sweat, and resources for these causes.

In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt wishes to all the people of Myanmar. May 2025 bring you the happiness, prosperity, success, and unity with loved ones that you truly deserve.

လေးစားချစ်ခင်ရပါသော မြန်မာပြည်သူ၊ပြည်သားများအား ကိုယ်စိတ်နှစ်ဖြာကျန်းမာချမ်းသာကြပါစေကြောင်း ဦးစွာပဏာမနှုတ်ခွန်းဆက်သအပ်ပါသည်။ နှစ်ဟောင်းကုန်ဆုံး၍ နှစ်သစ်စတင်သည့် မင်္ဂလာရှိလှသော ယနေ့နေ့ထူးနေ့ မြတ်တွင် နှုတ်ခွန်းဆက်သခွင့်ရရှိသည့်အတွက်လည်း အထူး၀မ်းမြောက်ပါသည်။

မြန်မာပြည်သူများသည် ၁၉၆၂ ခုနှစ် စစ်တပ်မှအာဏာသိမ်းသည့်အချိန်မှစတင်၍ စစ်ကျွန်ဘ၀ရောက်ရှိကာ လူ့အခွင့်အရေးနှင့် လူမျိုးစုအခွင့်အရေးများ အားလုံးဆုံးရှုံးနေခဲ့ကြရပါသည်။ ၂၀၂၁ ခုနှစ် အာဏာသိမ်းပြီးသည့် နောက်ပိုင်း ၂၀၂၂ ခုနှစ်နှင့် ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်များတွင် ပြည်သူများအနေဖြင့် တဖက်သက် ကြမ်းကြုတ်စွာ နှိပ်စက်သတ်ဖြတ်မှုများအောက်တွင် မျှော်လင့်ချက်ကင်းမဲ့ကာ ပိန်းပိတ်မှောင်နေသော အခြေအနေသို့ ရောက်ရှိခဲ့သော် လည်း ဆက်လက်၍ မဆုတ်မနစ်ကြိုးပမ်းခဲ့ကြပြီး မြန်မာပြည်အနှံ့ လက်နက်မဲ့/လက်နက်ကိုင် တိုက်ပွဲ၀င်ခဲ့ကြရာ ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ် အောက်တိုဘာလ (၂၇)ရက်နေ့မှစ၍ တိုင်းရင်းသားညီနောင် ၃ဖွဲ့၏ ဦးဆောင်တွန်းလှန်မှုများကြောင့် တော်လှန်ရေးသမိုင်းတွင် လုံး၀ဥသုံ အကွေ့အချိုးကြီးတခုကို အောင်မြင်စွာပြောင်းလဲနိုင်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ် တလျှောက်လုံးတွင် တော်လှန်ရေးအင်အားစုများမှာ အောင်မြင်မှုများ တောက်လျှောက်ရရှိခဲ့ပြီး တမြို့ပြီးတမြို့ သိမ်းပိုက်ခဲ့ရာမှ မြန်မာပြည်အနှံ့အပြားတွင် ဒီမိုကရေစီနှင့်တိုင်းရင်းသားအင်အားစုများမှ ချုပ်ထိန်းထားနိုင် နေပြီဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ယခုအခါ စစ်အာဏာရှင်များ ကျဆုံးရန်နှင့် ၎င်းတို့ကိုဖယ်ရှားသုတ်သင်နိုင်ရန်မှာ လက်တကမ်းသာ လိုပါတော့သည်။

တဖက်တွင်လည်း ဆီးရီးယားနိုင်ငံအာဏာရှင်အာဆတ်သည် အတိုက်အခံများ၏ စုပေါင်းထိုးစစ်ကိုမခံနိုင်ဘဲ ယခုဒီဇင်ဘာလဆန်းတွင် ရုရှားသို့ ထွက်ပြေးခဲ့ရသော သာဓကရှိပါသည်။ ၎င်းအား အီရန်၊ ရုရှား၊ တရုတ်စသည့် အင်အားကြီးနိုင်ငံများမှ စစ်ရေး၊ သံတမန်ရေး အင်ပြည့်အားပြည့် ထောက်ပံ့အားပေးပြီး ကုလသမဂ္ဂလုံခြုံရေး ကောင်စီတွင်ပင် ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်များမချနိုင်သည်အထိ ဗီတိုအာဏာသုံးကာကွယ်ထောက်ခံပေးနေခဲ့သည်မှာ အနှစ် ၂၀ ၀န်းကျင်ရှိပြီဖြစ်ပါသည်။ မည်သည့်အင်အားကြီးနိုင်ငံများက ပံ့ပိုးကူညီ၍ စစ်ရေးအရပင် စစ်တပ်စေလွှတ်တိုက်ခိုက် ပေးခဲ့သော်လည်း ကမ္ဘာ့အခြေအနေများပြောင်းလဲ၍ အခွင့်အလမ်းများရလာပါက အာဏာရှင်များ ကျဆုံးရစမြဲ ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

ထို့ကြောင့် ယခုနှစ်သစ်ကူးအခါသမယတွင် အမိမြန်မာပြည်သူပြည်သားများသည်လည်း မိမိတို့၏ ဘ၀ကံကြ မ္မာကို မိမိတို့ကိုယ်တိုင်ဖန်တီးနိုင်ခွင့်ရှိသည့် အားလျော်စွာ စစ်အာဏာရှင်ကို အမြန်ဆုံးဖယ်ရှား၍ ဒီမိုကရေစီ ပြည်ထောင်စုကြီး တည်ဆောက်နိုင်မည်ဟု တထစ်ချ ယုံကြည်ပါကြောင်း အလေးထားပြောကြားလိုပါသည်။ ထို့အပြင် အောင်ပွဲရသည်အထိ ဆက်လက်၍လည်း မဆုတ်မနစ် ကြိုးပမ်းကြပါရန်လည်း ပန်ကြားအပ်ပါသည်။

တဆက်တည်းမှာပင် စစ်အာဏာရှင်ဖယ်ရှားရေး၊ ဒီမိုကရေစီရေး၊ တိုင်းရင်းသား တန်းတူရေးနှင့် ကိုယ်တိုင် ပြဌာန်းခွင့်ရရှိရေးတို့တွင် ခေတ်အဆက်ဆက် ပါ၀င်တိုက်ပွဲ၀င်ခဲ့သူ/နေသူများနှင့် အသက်၊ သွေး၊ ချွေး၊ စည်းစိမ် ဥစ္စာ စတေး ဆုံးရှုံးခဲ့ကြသူအားလုံးအားလည်း ချီးကျူး ဂုဏ်ပြုအပ်ပါသည်။

နိဂုံးချုပ်အနေဖြင့် – မြန်မာပြည်သူအားလုံး ၂၀၂၅ ခုနှစ် နှစ်သစ်ကာလတွင် မိမိတို့နှင့် ထိုက်တန်လှသော ပျော်ရွှင်မှု၊ ကြီးပွားချမ်းသာမှု၊ တိုးတက်အောင်မြင်မှု၊ ချစ်ခင်သူများနှင့် ပေါင်းစည်းမှုများကို ရရှိကြပါစေကြောင်း ဆုမွန်ကောင်းတောင်းအပ်ပါသည်။
