Overview
The Shelter Program addresses the critical housing needs of displaced Myanmar families and migrants in Thailand. Many individuals and families live in unsafe, overcrowded, or temporary structures that lack basic amenities. Our program provides emergency shelter, assists with home repairs, and works to secure dignified living conditions for the most vulnerable.
Activities
- Emergency shelter assistance for newly displaced families
- Home repair and improvement for existing shelters
- Distribution of essential household items (bedding, cooking supplies)
- Coordination with landlords and local authorities for housing stability
- Community-based shelter construction projects
- Advocacy for migrant housing rights
Impact
The Shelter Program has provided housing assistance to hundreds of families, ensuring they have a safe place to sleep, cook, and raise their children. Stable housing is the foundation for participating in education, livelihood, and health programs.
